In recognition of his service to the people and development of New Sawereso-Seinuah, H.M. Duah III has been granted the honorific of "Honorable" and a commission as Kentucky Colonel. Letters Patent were received, dated the 14th day of March, 2024, and signed by Gov. Andy Beshear and Sec. of State Michael G. Adams, of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, by which the honorific and globally coveted commission were awarded.

The commission of Kentucky Colonel, which was first issued by Gov. Isaac Shelby, Kentucky's first governor, predates the War of 1812. Subsequent Kentucky governors commissioned colonels to act as their protective guard.

The commission of Kentucky Colonel is the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and those receiving the honor are recognized as ambassadors of good will and fellowship around the world. Kentucky colonelships are commissioned for an individual's contributions to his or her community, state or nation, and for special achievements. It is an official recognition by the Governor of an individual's service and accomplishments on behalf of others.

A list of Kentucky Colonels is a "Who's Who" of outstanding men and women from around the world. The certificate, signed by the Governor and the Secretary of State and bearing the Great Seal of Kentucky, has hung on the walls of such distinguished leaders as U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson, Queen Elizabeth II of England, English Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and famed astronaut John Glenn who was commissioned while he was orbiting the Earth.
